So What Do I Say To That? Week 2

Week 2: If all Religions have their gods, then how do I know that your God is the right one?

The question that is at hand is another way people try to test the validity of the Bible. This is another way that the ones who are not in agreement with the standards that are required, go without a guilty conscience with their beliefs.

Have you ever heard of “Absolute Truth”? What about Relative truth?

What is absolute truth?

What does it mean to be “Infallible”?

Definitions of absolute and relative truth

Relative truth can be understood in two ways:

• All truth is relative to time and space (true now but not then)

• All truth is relative to people (true for me but not for you)

Absolute truth implies:

• Whatever is true at one time and in one place is true at all times and in all places.

• Whatever is true for one person is true for all people.

Let’s look at some of the circumstances of the people of God went through for God to prove that He was the Real God.

  1. Noah and the Flood= Gen 6-7/ proven
  2. 2.  10 Plagues /proven
  3. 3.  Parting of the Red Sea= Exodus 7-12 /proven

4. Elijah and the prophets of Baal= 1 Kings 18

5. Isaiah in the Throne Room of God= Is 6 /proven

  1. 6.  Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego= Daniel 3 /proven
  2. 7.  Jesus’ Birth /proven

8. Jesus’ Miracles= Water into wine, healings, walking on water, death, burial and resurrection along with all the prophecy /proven

God designed, developed and allowed certain events to occur so that people of all nations would look and realize that He is the True and Only God.

God has made Himself known to us, even if all the events discussed had never taken place.

Romans 1:19-20

1 John 1:1-5

All of the men that have been martyred did not and would not die for a lie or something they weren’t sure of to be true.

Choose the one true faith (true reality) that comes out on top from the ones that are accessible. There are only three choices that make up about 90% of the world’s religions. They are Christianity, Hinduism and Islam. Obviously, Christianity is the most personal because God reveals Himself in Christ who walked among us and shall return. Christianity is the only belief system where God Himself enters His creation and saves us by taking all our sins upon Himself to save whoever is willing to receive the ransom that was fully paid for the forgiveness of sins and brings us to die on the cross with Christ.

All other faiths worship a deity who is unwilling or unable to do this; so, God of the Bible trumps then all in their works-based faiths for initial salvation, for no man shall be saved by works, lest any may boast. No person is even able to keep on believing unless she or he gave their life to the right God-the one who keeps. Only Christianity provides real tangible proof with such strong data for the resurrection of Jesus.

With all religions being contradictory to each other, this means that someone is lying. God cannot make rules for one group of people and make completely different rules for another group.

So how can we prove the God of the bible is the true God?

We tell others how God has changed our lives through Jesus Christ and give to others all of the information that we were created to need and God will reveal Himself to anyone who searches for Him.

When Jesus was in the desert for 40 days being tempted by satan, He didn’t prove to satan that He was God, so what makes us believe the He has to prove Himself to us?

Freewill is in effect – I give the info and whoever hears the Word has the option to choose to believe and except it or they have the option to reject it.
