Within Christianity, there seems to be a lot of disagreement over what professing followers of Christ are allowed to do. In some cases, entire denominations have been formed because of these differences. This is Part 1 of a series in which we will undertake the exposition of Romans 14 and 1 Corinthians 8. These two chapters of the Bible discuss strange practices like eating “food sacrificed to idols” or observing “holy days.” Included in letters written by the Apostle Paul, these two chapters are typically written off as irrelevant to modern day Christians. But is there something more that we should be paying attention to?
