So What Do I Say To That? Week 4

If everyone is declared a sinner from the Bible, then how does one go to Heaven if sinners aren’t allowed?

Ever heard of Jesus and the atonement of sin?  Let me preach on it.

  1. Have to determine who is a sinner. Romans 3:23
  2. How do I make things right with God? Romans 10:9

Have you ever practiced the gospel message from scripture?

  1. Romans 3:23
  2. Romans 5:6-9
  3. Romans 6:23
  4. Romans 10:9-13
  5. John 3:16

How is sin atoned for? By the blood sacrifice. Leviticus 17 says the life is in the blood. Therefore blood from life is the only thing required for sacrifice (that’s not tainted).

What does atonement mean? To make amends, Reparation for wrong or injury.

What does this have to do with us? 1 John 2:1-2. My Favorite chapter in the bible with my 2 favorite words; Advocate, Propitiation

Jesus declared in John 3:3 that one must be born again in order to enter the gates of heaven. We are first born physically but dead spiritually. When we accept the gift of Jesus, we are born again, but this time it is spiritually. This is how we are able to live forever, the Holy Spirit comes in us at the moment of true conversion, and gives us spiritual life and because of the fact He will live forever means that since we are one with Him, so will we.

Revelation 20:11-15 says that your name better be written in the lambs book of life if you want to enter into the Kingdom of God.

We WILL have to face our penalty of sin if the sacrifice of life was not good enough from Jesus. Everyone is promised 2 things; once to die then the judgment.

Our faith says that we believe God when He said that Jesus’ sacrifice was good enough. If that’s not good enough, we have just changed the requirements that God set in place, declaring that His weren’t good enough, creating ourselves as god. Bad idea. The Gospel is not Jesus plus something, it is just Jesus. Anything other than that refers back to the first bad idea.

So, how do we get to Heaven? By FAITH in the fact that Jesus’ blood-paid sacrifice was given on your behalf.
